- I am writing this in thanksgiving to Our Lady for all blessings received.
If you are praying novenas, and are reading these postings on this website,
whether out of curiosity of what others have prayed for, or to see whether
people have had their petitions granted, clinging to hope that they work
(which I did myself), I can tell you from personal experience that truly,
our Lord, his blessed mother, and the saints in Heaven, hear and respond
to our prayers. It may not be the answer we want, or the specific request
that we made.....but He always hears and answers, and even if we don't understand
immediately, or in a week or month or a year, it does become clear.
I was engaged to be married this summer, and my fiance broke the engagment
at the start of the new year. I was devastated - my plans for my future
were in ruin, we were out thousands of dollars in wedding expenses, and
five years of my life spent on one relationship were gone. Family and friends
were concerned for my mental and physical health. I prayed countless novenas
to our Lord, the Blessed Mother, and a number of saints. I requested the
same thing - that my ex would come back to me. I was certain that if my
prayers were not answered, I would not be able to bear the heartache and
anguish.
I prayed urgently and with faith. I never doubted that God heard my petition.
Every rose that I saw, I believed was a sign from St. Theresa that my ex
would call. Yet, weeks went by, and nothing. But in the meanwhile, what
did happen....I didn't even realize it, but I was becoming stronger. Everyday,
I felt the ache a little less.....It no longer was on the verge of breaking
me. I was less urgent in my prayers to have him back - not because I was
losing faith, but because I realized that I no longer needed to have my
ex in my life. Then, I was given glimpses into my ex's current life - and
i realized that I was saved from a huge mistake.
Similarly, I began dating a new guy. I was so excited to feel a connection
again, and was crestfallen when he didn't call after a few dates. So, I
prayed more novenas that he would call. He still didn't call. But, by the
end of my novenas, I no longer cared, because I am confident that God has
something better in store for me.
There's a new book that says we can have anything if we truly desire it,
and are powerful people in the universe. Some ideas in this book are nice,
but we are not the most powerful, only God is. And, we don't know what is
in our best interests....only our Lord does.
I have found that whatever we pray for, is not nearly as important as thanking
God constantly. Jesus told us "Ask and you shall receive".....I
don't think he meant that if we ask for a million dollars, we'll all get
it. But, I think that if we are honest about what we want and why we want
it, our Father will answer our prayers, and give us what we need, in the
way He knows best for us. And always act in faith. Be confident that our
Father has heard you, don't doubt it for a second, even if you don't get
what you want.
Novenas really do work, and I am so grateful. I continue to pray them, and
I encourage my fellow Catholics to do so as well. Thanks to Our Lady, St.
Jude, the Holy Infant of Prague, St. Theresa, St. Rita.
I am not trying to be a preacher, or get on a soapbox - I have nothing to
pitch, or sell....I'm just a Catholic who committed to publishing thanksgiving
and encouraging devotion to the novenas.

answered! My sister was told that she had a blockage in her heart and was
to have surgery. The Dr. was going to have to either put a stent in, to
open up the blockage, or do a bypass. I prayed this novena to our Blessed
Holy Mother and asked her to make my sister not have a blockage at all.
My sister Sharon went into surgery and we all waited and prayed. After her
procedure the Dr. came in and said he found NO blockage!!! It was a miracle
