NOVENA TO SAINT RITA
PATRONESS OF IMPOSSIBLE CASES

O HOLY Patroness of those in need, St. Rita, whose pleadings before thy Divine Lord are almost irresistible, who for thy lavishness in granting favors hast been called the Advocate of the hopeless and even of the impossible; St. Rita, so humble, so pure, so mortified, so patient and of such compassionate love for thy Crucified Jesus that thou couldst obtain from Him whatsoever thou askest, on account of which all confidently have recourse to thee expecting, if not always relief, at least comfort; be propitious to our petition, showing thy power with God on behalf of thy suppliant; be lavish to us, as thou hast been in so many wonderful cases, for the greater glory of God, for the spreading of thine own devotion, and for the consolation of those who trust in thee.

We promise, if our petition is granted, to glorify thee by making known thy favor, to bless and sing thy praises forever. Relying then upon thy merits and power before the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we pray thee grant that ... (Here mention your request) as soon as God deems fit. Amen.

This Novena must be said for 9 days, and then must be published if your petition is granted.   • My visa was set to expire on a Thursday and I had booked an interview to renew it on the Wednesday before it expired. Renewing the visa costs 595 pounds. By Monday night, I only had 200 that a friend had lent me. I spent Monday night saying the 8 hour Novena to St. Rita. I was so desperate, I didn't know what I would do if I couldn't come up with the money. On Tuesday Morning immediately after finishing the Novena, I came downstairs and the postman delivered a cheque for to my husband for 223GBP.By Tuesday night, I was slowly giving up hope as I had less than 24 hours to come up with the rest of the money. A friend that I had not spoken to in a long time called me out of the blue. He soon realised that I wasn't my usual self and asked why, so I told him about my predicament. He immediately offered to lend me the rest of the money!There are other things that I'm praying and believing for and I'm confident that my prayers will be answered.

  • My husband and I separated last year when I found out he was using crack cocaine. I have prayed very hard since January of this year that he would seek treatment, but did not see any inclination on his part, despite several trips to jail, not being able to hold a job, and looking like a walking skeleton. The nine days leading into Good Friday, I prayed three novenas---to St. Rita, St. Jude and St. Anthony---that God would do something huge in my husband's life. On April 20th (my birthday), my husband decided to go into an in-patient treatment facility. He didn't remember it was my birthday---but God did! I am hoping he stays clean and sober when he gets out. I know it was only through the novenas and the grace of God that my husband sought help. Thank you Jesus, Mary and these three wonderful saints--St. Rita, St. Jude and St. Anthony.

The c section went smoothly and I am very grateful. My brother and sister in law moved out so now I won't feel like I don't have my own space.   • I want to give thanks to God St Rita my spirit guide and all others that are helping me keep my hope of getting out of my situation alive. I prayed that my son would be born strong and healthy, my daughters would somehow be provided with what they need, help healing from the emotional abuse I am suffering now and have been suffering for the past 6 years by my husband. That I be able to find a way to financailly support my children alone and with the help of others if I have too. That me and my children someday have our own place to live so that they learn what its like to have their own bedrooms and not have to worry about living with other people in a small space. I also asked for the strength to love again if I ever get into another relationship I don't want 2 carry trauma with me from this marriage into a new relationship.   • I want to give thanks to God St Rita my spirit guide and all others that are helping me keep my hope of getting out of my situation alive. I prayed that my son would be born strong and healthy, my daughters would somehow be provided with what they need, help healing from the emotional abuse I am suffering now and have been suffering for the past 6 years by my husband. That I be able to find a way to financailly support my children alone and with the help of others if I have too. That me and my children someday have our own place to live so that they learn what its like to have their own bedrooms and not have to worry about living with other people in a small space. I also asked for the strength to love again if I ever get into another relationship I don't want 2 carry trauma with me from this marriage into a new relationship. I also asked that I be given the strength to leave my husband so I can end the cycle of leaving him and coming back for good. So far I'm waiting 2 see what happens since I know these things take time. But I have faith that my prayers will be answered and I will make all favors granted known. --daniela

  • It was thought that I had ovarian cancer. I went last monday to the specialist he PHYSICALLY examined me and had the results of my pelvic ultrasound. He explained the surgery to me and said we would'nt know if the "complex cyst" was cancerous until it was sent to a pathologist. That saturday, I went for my follow up ultrasound. I was sick of being sick and I asked the technician about my upcoming surgery. She said "I dont know the details of it but you wont need it." I became frightened, and asked her what she meant. She said "I'm not a doctor but I dont see anything. There's NOTHING there.
    Yesterday, I went to the doctor for my results and he said my ovary was normal(it was enlarged) and there was no mass there. He said to me "you must have prayed". I told him yes. He said it looked bad and it was big. I thank St. Rita forevermore for her intercession not only for me but for my 15 yr. old son. He had major surgery on his knee(reconstruction,tissue graft, two titanium screws,etc., etc) TWO weeks ago. He is walking without his crutches(no limp), he was running yesterday and playing a little basketball.He has'nt even started his therapy yet!   • I went to your site and got a Novena to St. Rita and prayed it. Here is my situation…I have been married to an abusive man for 28 years, we separated 1 ½ years ago. The house we lived in had been my parents’ home that I grew up in. My father sold it to me in 1988. In 2001, my husband’s father (whom I love dearly) moved in and added an addition. We had mortgaged the house heavily as my husband entered into some bad business dealings. When I left him, I moved away with our 12 year old daughter. I knew I couldn’t pay the mortgages and besides his father lived there and it seemed mean to kick his son out. Anyway, after we cleared up some financial matters during the separation, the time came to file for divorce. When I filed, my husband immediately began dating and fell madly in love and is now living with this woman and his father lives in my house alone. This summer, my only sibling died, and it came to me…I want my house back. I proposed to my husband that if we could refinance it, I could take the house and his father and he could give me alimony for a few years to aid in the expenses. Since he wants the divorce to be finalized so he can remarry and he doesn’t want the house (she certainly doesn’t) and he doesn’t want to care for his father, he agreed. We began searching for refinancing. We had filed bankruptcy which made that almost impossible, as a matter of fact I had tried everything including e-loans and the final guy told me that he couldn’t find any company that could do it. We were prepared to sell the house when one of the companies they had dealt with called me…the loan originators name is Rita. Rita has worked miracles. In the 3 months of Rita working, I have prayed for God’s will to be done. I said a novena to St. Joseph and then decided to look for a novena to St. Rita, which I found on your website. Yesterday, we closed the refinance and I am moving back home over the course of the next month. I will forever be grateful to St. Rita for her intercession and devoted to her cause.   • This is the first day of my novena, however I need the answer tomorrow so talk about impossible. Pray that my children will no longer be forced to go to their abusive father’s house – I left him because of the abuse and they are now being subjected to horrible things and the stress is affecting their physical and mental health. We’ve been suffering for a year with this and he is trying to destroy us financially and spiritually. Pray that we may be allowed to live in peace from this man and move on with our lives . For one of my sons who has mentioned the priesthood for God and St. Rita to guide him if this is His will.
